100% Linen - Weekend Shadow Plaid (Blue)
It is unusual to come across a ‘shadow’ linen plaid. You usually see this unique yarn-dyed weave in blushed cotton flannel. This blue plaid designer fabric is a little more ‘summer crisp’ than the softer handle of Legally Plaid, Dover Plaid and The Glen check. It screams summer dress, with some fullness or a chic shirt dress. I can also envisage shirts, boxy tops, tunics, wraps (tops and dresses), shorts, pants and skirts. While there is a summeriness to it, teamed with the right jersey knit, or a favourite knit, it could transition into autumn. It would look great with a white tee-shirt, and amazing with our Necessary Denim. It’s a wardrobe builder and season conduit. The white portions of the fabric may be transparent in the sun, but prints are quite good at camouflaging this. Neutral undergarments should be all you need.
For your cloth edit consider: boxy tops, tunics, dresses (eg. wrap, fit and flare, trapeze, tunic, shift, sheath, shirt dresses), loose to semi-fitted pants/trousers/shorts jumpsuits and overalls, jackets, skirts (eg. A Line, pencil, wrap, midi, pleated).

Linen is a natural fibre and as such cannot be ‘uniform’ in the way man-made fibres can. What used to be considered ‘irregularities’ in the cloth (such as slubs or irregular lumps and bumps), are now universally embraced as part of the aesthetic appeal of this cloth.
We recommend a gentle machine wash or hand washing. It is important not to wring the fabric or garment, so if you are handwashing, roll up in a towel to press out excess water. To preserve the longevity of your garment, do not tumble dry. It is preferable to wash inside out. Wash colours separately. Shake out the wet garment and dry flat (or on a hanger) in the shade. Use a warm/hot iron and spot test. You may need a water spray bottle to get rid of the wrinkles when you are ironing. Linen softens upon wearing and laundering.
