This Fabric is sold in units of 50cm (= .5m; ½ m).    For example, if you want 2.5m, then enter the quantity ‘5’.  As Cloth Edit only receives limited quantities of each fabric, err on the side of caution when ordering.   Take into account any additional length etc.  

 Every effort has been made to present the fabric as accurately as possible.  If the precise colour, weight and feel of the fabric is important for your decision, and the photos aren’t giving you enough detail, the best option to eliminate disappointment is to use the Swatch Service.  Each Swatch is .50c.  See under the 'About' tab for more details. 

This cloth is a 100% light-mid weight Japanese cotton, and is perfect for our Australian summers.  The weight is close to a poplin, and it has the slightly crisper hand, like a poplin.  The background is more off-white than bright white, and the print is a sharp, contemporary botanical design including various leaves such as banana, palm, monstera.  In addition to different shades of green, there is some teal, rust brown, taupe grey and some lighter chartreuse in the design.  It is opaque although if you hold it to the light it will be a little transparent.  This is not a problem for tops and shirts.  Dresses would be great option and you could omit any lining if the skirt has a bit of volume, or if you wear flesh toned undergarments.    

For your cloth edit consider:  semi-fitted to loose tops/blouses/shirts or wrap tops. The fabric holds some shape so consider dresses such as wraps, tunics, and shirt dresses.  A full or A-line dress or skirt (or wrap skirt) would also be beautiful.

Cloth Care:

Cotton can generally be machine washed and tumble dried without any problems.  Wash colours separately.   After the initial pre-washing and tumble drying (to take care of shrinkage, if this is your preference), the finished garment will last longer and look better if it is shaken out when wet, and placed on a hanger to dry.  Tumble drying will shorted the life of the garment and it will not look its best. Do Not Tumble Dry. To prevent fading, wash inside out and dry in the shade.   Cotton needs a warm to hot iron.  Cotton is dry cleanable.
