100% Japanese Embroidered Cotton Lawn - 'Juliet'

This Japanese Cotton Lawn has a white embroidered floral design on denim blue background.  The embroidery reaches right up to the shaped selvages, so it's a perfect opportunity to play with a scalloped 'hem'.  This would be a gorgeous blouse or dress with statement sleeves, and will hold dramatic ruffles.  It is a little sheer under direct light, but the embroidery has dimension and covers a lot of the fabric and detracts from this.  If you have a full skirt you might not need to line it, but you may prefer a simple slip or lawn lining.

Cloth Care:

Although cotton can generally be machine washed and tumble dried without any problems, take some more care with this fabric, as it is both light weight and a jacquard. Hand washing is recommended.  Do not wring.  If using a washing machine only use a delicate cycle, and a mesh washing bag.  Wash colours separately.   The finished garment will last longer and look better if it is shaken out when wet, and placed on a hanger to dry.  Do not tumble dry.  To prevent fading, wash inside out and dry in the shade.   Cotton needs a warm to hot iron.  Conduct a spot test. Cotton is dry cleanable.
