100% Japanese Cotton – 'Hermia' White
- 144cm Wide
- approx. 130gsm
The trio of 'Hermia' prints (Blue, Black and White) on the gorgeous Uri jacquard base are the latest addition to the Cloth Edit Japanese Cotton Collection. The 'Hermia' design is like the Shakespearean character: bold and confident. The white colourway is brought to life with the yellow, raspberry and coral blooms. There is a sense of the ethereal with this print, and I hope you can glimpse this in the images. For those who love yellow but think they 'can't wear it', these prints are your gateway. Like the other colourways, Hermia White includes beautiful moments of green. This will need a little slip under skirts, but I think you would be just fine with skin tones undergarments under blouses.
The base cloth has a Uri Japanese 'jacquard' effect applied to it, and when printed this gives an interesting dimension to the design. The print is not directional. It is a very pleasing 144cm wide, which is much wider than most Japanese cottons.

Cloth Care:
While cotton can generally be machine washed and tumble dried without any problem, this is a lightweight and delicate fabric, so take more care of the cloth/garment, so hand wash or use a short / delicate cycle and place inside a mesh washing bag. Wash colours separately. The finished garment will last longer and look better if it is shaken out when wet, and placed on a hanger to dry. Tumble drying will shorten the life of the garment, and potentially damage the jacquard effect. Do Not Tumble Dry. To prevent fading, wash inside out and dry in the shade. Cotton needs a warm to hot iron. Conduct a spot test. Cotton is dry cleanable.
