100% Japanese Cotton - Ophelia Mint
This Fabric is sold in units of 50cm (= .5m; ½ m). For example, if you want 2.5m, then enter the quantity ‘5’. As Cloth Edit only receives limited quantities of each fabric, err on the side of caution when ordering. Take into account any additional length etc.
Every effort has been made to present the fabric as accurately as possible. If the precise colour, weight and feel of the fabric is important for your decision, and the photos aren’t giving you enough detail, the best option to eliminate disappointment is to use the Swatch Service. Each Swatch is .50c. See under the 'About' tab for more details.
Ophelia Mint is a Japanese 100% light weight Uri cotton. Uri is a Japanese jacquard effect which gives the fabric interesting dimension. The digital floral print, on top of the Uri application, gives the fabric depth and vibrancy. The base colour is mint, and the flowers are grey and white, and a range of shades of pink. The foliage is pink/grey and plummy pink. It's another divine Japanese print. The print is directional, and is much wider than most Japanese cottons (144cm).
This cotton is perfect for staying cool in summer, but would be a beautiful shirt or blouse at any time of year. The sections of fabric with no 'jacquard' application are more transparent, but this is detracted by the print and overall effect. You may want to line skirts. For tops you may find that all you need are flesh toned undergarments or a cami.
144cm Wide. See the last image for details.
For your cloth edit consider: loose tops/blouses/shirts or wrap tops. The fabric is light but holds some shape so consider dresses such as wraps, tunics, and shirt dresses. A full or wrap skirt would also be beautiful.

While cotton can generally be machine washed and tumble dried without any problem, this is a lightweight and delicate fabric, so take more care of the cloth/garment, so hand wash or and use a short / delicate cycle and place inside a mesh washing bag. Wash colours separately. The finished garment will last longer and look better if it is shaken out when wet, and placed on a hanger to dry. Tumble drying will shorten the life of the garment, and potentially damage the jacquard. Do Not Tumble Dry. To prevent fading, wash inside out and dry in the shade. Cotton needs a warm to hot iron. Conduct a spot test. Cotton is dry cleanable.
