98% Cotton 2% Elastane – ‘That’ Emerald Stretch Shirting
This is a show stopper. For lovers of green, who like just a bit of ‘give’ in their cotton shirting, this a winner. This stretch woven has a tiny bit of crispness in the hand, but it is soft, and light enough for fine gathers. It falls in soft folds and is versatile enough for a fabulous fitted blouse, or a softer design. It would be a striking shirt dress also. This is a fabulous quality designer end / dead stock fabric.
For your cloth edit consider: semi-fitted or looser shirts, blouses, tops and tunics; dresses (eg. wrap, fit and flare, tunic, shirt dresses), skirts (eg. wrap, midi, gathered, pleated). It would also be amazing in PJs
We stock so many beautiful indie patterns that would be a perfect match with this cotton. Here are some suggestions:

Cloth Care:
Cotton is an easy care fibre as it is strong when wet, and so it can be machine washed. While 100% cotton is often tumble dried the 2% elastane in this stretch woven means that tumble drying will adversely affect the fabric. Do not tumble dry. The finished garment will look better and last longer if it is shaken out when wet, and placed on a hanger to dry. To prevent fading, wash inside out and dry in the shade. While cotton needs a hot iron, the elastane content means you will need to test the fabric, so start on a cooler setting, and iron on the wrong side. We suggest cushioning darts when ironing so the dart doesn’t show through on the right side.
