About the Jaya Skirt
The Jaya is a high-waist skirt that has numerous variations, and can be worn throughout the year. It's very comfortable thanks to its flared shaped and small front and back gathers. The elegant and feminine skirt has a wide waistband (either V-shaped or curved) that beautifully highlights the waist.
Jaya is available in 4 lengths: mini or 50cm, midi or 65cm, ballerina or 80cm, or maxi (length that fits your height). You can choose a straight hem or an asymmetrical hem and if you want, you can also add pockets or even line it. It’s zippered at the back and the instructions make sewing the zipper so simple.
This skirt is made of 5 pieces. It is a quick and easy pattern to sew, even for beginners. In short, the plethora of variations will offer you a wide range of Jayas in all seasons!
The paper pattern includes:
- the booklet in English, stating the difficulty level, the cutting layout, the step-by-step sewing instructions, along with size chart and fabric and notion requirements,
- one easy-to-read multi-size pattern sheet, with no overlapping pieces.
The Patterns are presented in a large, 'string and washer' style envelope with a clear front window, and there is room to pop in your traced pattern also.

The Fabric
For your Jaya, select viscose, crepe, double gauze, linen, tencel, batiste, eyelet, flannel, corduroy, lightweight gabardine, any fabric for skirt with a nice drape.
Suggested fabrics for the lining (if lined skirt): lightweight cotton, viscose, any fabric that can be used to line garments.

- A 25cm (10 Inches) zipper
- 50 cm (⅝ yd) of fusible interfacing like Vlieseline®
Sizing
The size range for this pattern is 32-54, which covers bust measurements from 31 1/2 Inches - 48 Inches.
