Fowler features an oversized, boxy silhouette with dropped shoulders, a two-piece sleeve, and a clean, bandless collar, making it ideal for layering and year-round wear. Finish your jacket with either buttons or snaps.View A is a traditional barn coat with double-layer patch pockets and a single chest pocket, finished with a sleeve hem facing, visible topstitching, and a classic pressed hem. View B is a quilted jacket with softly rounded patch pockets, finished with double-fold bias tape along all edges and hems for a clean, modern look.

The Fabric

• VIEW A - BARN COAT
  Mid- to heavyweight non-stretch wovens with structure, such as canvas, twill, denim, corduroy, or wool.
• VIEW B - QUILTED JACKET
  For a quick and easy make, choose a prequilted fabric or a substantial jacquard, brocade, or similarly beefy fabric that holds its shape without a batting layer.
• To create a quilted jacket:
  Outer and inner layer − light- to midweight woven fabrics such as cotton poplin, lawn, voile, chambray and broadcloth, or linen. Drapey fabrics are not recommended.
  Middle batting layer − quilt batting in cotton, bamboo, or wool.
