Shipping policy

We currently offer delivery to Australia, New Zealand, the United States (suspended), Canada,  the United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

We use Australia Post and parcels are sent via Standard Delivery with Tracking, and Standard International Delivery with Tracking.  We use satchels and pack items well.  We aim to send items as efficiently as possible; within 1-2 business days of the order being placed. Please enter your mobile in the customer info for texted tracking updates.  

We send Swatches | Samples via Standard Australia Post.  Price for sending samples are $1.50.  Prices for the actual Swatch options are in the shop (under the Cloth Tab)

DOMESTIC SHIPPING - AUSTRALIA

• Delivery is a flat rate of $9.95
• Free Delivery is offered with purchases of $200 and over*.  This requires a total cart value of $150 or more.  *If the Items are bulky and do not fit into a Satchel, Cloth Edit will send an additional shipping quote. 
• Free Delivery will be suspended during Club Cloth Edit times
• Just want to buy one pattern?  We can send certain patterns that have small dimensions inside a Registered Letter.  If this is the case we will let you know and refund the difference in cost.  Payments and Refunds via Shopify take about 3-4 days.  Registered Letters are Tracked.  
• Pattern Fantastique patterns are very large and only fit inside a Medium Satchel.  As this is quite expensive, we now send single Pattern Fantastique Patterns via the Large Size Registered letter envelop.  Registered Letters are Tracked.
• If you would like extra insurance, please contact hello@clothedit.com.au at the time of placing the order. We will send an invoice.

• Select the Best Delivery Address to ensure you get the parcel.  It is advisable that you get parcels sent to a work address if you are not home during standard delivery times.  This will prevent parcels being stolen.  Cloth Edit does not take responsibility for tracked parcels that are delivered, and then go missing.

• *Bulk Items that do not fit into a satchel will need to be charged according to the Australia post shipping rates.  Cloth Edit will email you of any additional charges. 

 

Signature on Delivery

Please note: It may not be possible to capture a Signature on Delivery when delivering to Post Office Boxes or Parcel lockers where the receiver has given us authority to deliver without requiring a signature.

There are now Signature on Delivery options for Australian Shipping.

NEW ZEALAND – Carrier – Australia Post

Rates start at $13.95 for parcels under 500g and increase in increments (up to $28.95).  Postage is at a very good rate and subsidised by Cloth Edit.  

 

The Black and Orange Free Shipping sliding calculator, is only for Domestic (Australian) sales.  Cloth Edit cannot offer an International Free Shipping option, given the costs of shipping, but shipping has been subsidised at each weight interval. 

 

Signature on Delivery

If you would like the security of signature on delivery, please check this option at the checkout.  The price is a Standard A$5.50 for each parcel. 

 

Estimated Delivery Time 

In normal circumstances, the estimated delivery is between 5-7 BUSINESS days (depending on location within the NZ).

Indicate the Best Delivery Address

To ensure you receive your parcel, it is advisable to indicate a shipping address where somebody will be in present.  This might be your work address.  This will prevent parcels being left for long periods of time, and being stolen. 

 

Australia Post Extra Cover

Cloth Edit does not take responsibility for tracked parcels that are delivered, and then go missing.  Cloth Edit does not take responsibility for goods that go missing with Australia Post.  If a parcel is lost (and NOT DELIVERED) the customer can claim up to A$100 compensation.  If the parcel is valued over this, it is advisable to get extra cover.  If you would like extra insurance, please contact hello@clothedit.com.au at the time of placing the order.  This option will not come up at the checkout.  Cloth Edit will send you an invoice.  This is a list of current prices for extra coverage (April, 2021) - IN AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS:

THE UNITED STATES (*Suspended) + CANADA – Carrier – Australia Post

*Shipments to the US are suspended.  The US has suspended de minimis exemptions for all low-value imports to the US from 29 August 2025. As a result, all goods valued at $US800 or less will be subject to country-specific tariff rates.
At this stage Australia Post has temporarily suspended its transit service to the US. It will no longer accept transit items containing goods destined for the US. Effective 20 August 2025, any transit or misrouted items containing goods that are destined for the US and arrive at Australia Post's international mail processing centres will be returned to origin. 

Rates start at $21.95 for parcels under 500g and increase in increments (up to $39.95).  Postage is at a very good rate and subsidised by Cloth Edit.
