The 'White Linen' boxes sold out very quickly, but I still had some 'Black Cotton' boxes left. I put these beauties back in the shop on the weekend, and now there are only 4 left. 🩷Option 1 - 100% cotton with a black background. It's a beautiful quality fabric with a slight sheen. It's 112gsm and 145cm wide.
🩷Option 2 - 100% Linen with a white background (slightly more ivory than bright white). It's the same stunning linen as a number of Cloth Edit's exclusive prints. It's 150gsm and 137cm wide.
🩷A Note about these Options - it is the Same Print on different backgrounds (the colours in the print are the same across the 2 options). The different backgrounds and cloths mean the two fabrics have quite distinct 'looks'. They would also look fabulous teamed together in a co-ord.
🩷Length Options - there are 2, 3, and 4m options for each colourway.

At times new Club customers ask if they will 'see' images of the prints on launch day. Club Cloth Edit is a mystery box event, and so the images of the fabric are not provided. I have included some details above and below, but the idea behind it is to provide exclusive, inspiring prints. It is a sewist's special treat :-)

- The linen is lighter than some linens (at 150gsm) but you won't need to line most skirts once the fabric is around your body.

The Presentation
This Club Cloth Edit offering comes in beautiful quality white (for the White Linen🤍) or black (for the Black Cotton🖤) matt box with a magnetic closure. It's too lovely to discard, and is perfect for gift-giving, or using as a special place to store your sewing goodies. The box is tied with a dreamy, shimmery pale pink ribbon.
General Description
I love designers that create vignettes or little stories in their prints, and 'Barbados Musings' is a unique 'nod' to those designs.
I know many snap up multiple boxes when there is a colour option, and this is even more tempting with the different fabric substrates. The colours in the print are a bit more subdued than vibrant mid-summer prints. The colour palette is dreamy, with variegations of pinks (from pale to a brighter hue) and greens, and small moments of azure and 'metallic' silver and gold. You'll also find some earthy muted red, tan, pale ochre, and some pale orange. It sounds like a lot ;-), but it's balanced, quite understated (to my mind ;-)), yet utterly unique and eye-catching. There's something else that's very special about the print design, but if I hint at it, I'll give it away. 😆
The repeat is approx 24cm x 29cm, but it incorporates several smaller motifs.
I've made one dress prior to the box launch, and I can't wait to make the second one (although I'm toying with the idea of an oversized shirt also). The print (in either cloth) suits so many different types of garments (from shirts, blouses, all kinds of dresses, co-ords, skirts etc.)
