If you would like your fabric to be a complete surprise, avoid the 'General Description' section below.
At times new Club customers ask if they will 'see' images of the prints on launch day. Club Cloth Edit is a mystery box event, and so the images of the fabrics are not provided. I have included a 'General Description' below so that you get an idea of the print. The idea behind it is to provide exclusive, inspiring prints that are curated around a theme. It is a sewist's special treat :-)
The Inspiration
‘Resort’ style garments aren’t just for the jetsetters, fleeing the winter chill. Summer in the Australia demands light and cool cotton for breezy shirts and dresses perfect for picnics in the park, lunch at a cafe, or a frolic at the beach or pool. Whether you are a lover of dresses and kaftans, like the idea of a resort style shirt or blouse tucked into cool linen shorts, or love the impact of a co-ord, then this Club Cloth Edit ‘Resort’ edition is just for you. For those in the midst of winter, this box will bring some sunshine and may even be the centrepiece of your next holiday wardrobe.
Club Cloth Edit releases are usually a ‘nod’ to a particular design house. This time the boxes are a celebration of all those wonderful designers who inspire us with their cruise and resort creations. As always, I have created a special Pinterest board aptly named ‘Resort’. You will find all manner of prints on this board, but don’t ‘read’ this as a hint of the colours and designs ;-). You can read more about the prints and the colours below, and you will also see some general colour palette images in the carousel.

About the Cloth
The cloth is a beautiful, light weight uri jacquard Japanese cotton. The print is exclusive to Cloth Edit and it comes in 2 colourways: Sunrise and Sunset.
It is a little sheer, but I don't bother lining this Uri cotton. You might like to though.
It is 144cm wide & approx 110gsm.
General Description of the Print and Colourway Options
The design is a unique abstract botanical-style print. I haven’t seen anything like this design. The scale is small, so key features are around 4-5cm in diameter. The overall effect is a tangle of colour, with the background colours still being a key element of the design. While the print is striking, it is also versatile and would feel at home in casual settings, and could also be elevated to something very special.
Sunrise Colourway
‘Sunrise’ features a gorgeous sky-blue background, and variegations of green (from lemon|green, olive, forest, and blue|green). There are also tiny moments of purple and white. The vibes are fresh, and day-time chic.
Sunset Colourway
The ‘Sunset’ design is set against a black background, which is perfect for showing off the array of pinks in this design. You will also see golden hues, muted burnt orange and white, and variegations of green (from blue|green to sage and lemen|green). The vibes are sophisticated, and cocktail glamour.
What about combining both prints?
Some of you love to mix things up, and if that’s you then you will be pleased to know that there are some common colour elements that can bring these disparate colourways together. Ideas for mixing may be playing with a contrasting placket or sleeves, or teaming a skirt in one print with a blouse|shirt in the other. You might also try alternating tiers on a dress, or add contrasting ruffles on the dress or blouse. The Pinterest board will give you lots of ideas. Of course you might just want to make a statement with one colourway ;-).
The Presentation
The 'Sunrise' Club Cloth Edit option comes in a quality white matt box with a magnetic closure, and the 'Sunset' option comes in a lovely black box with the same closure. Each box is tied with a natural colour linen ribbon, and is adorned with a little Resort themed tag that echoes some of the colours of the print within.
I hope you can take part in the 'Resort' offering.
