- Not transparent, but if you were making a fitted dress or skirt, you might want to line it for a more luxurious finish.
Mosaic prints say 'summer', and I'm happy to present two colourways in a beautiful mosaic design. The little 'ceramic fragments' are small and add a lovely effect to the colours and shapes. The more you explore this print, the more you discover. 'Poolside Mosaic' will reveal motifs such as bunches of grapes, guitars, a little row of bottles, playing cards, watermelon, water symbols, and a basket. The combination of delightful images entices holiday dreaming and enjoying life. If ever there was a resort print, I believe this may evoke it most perfectly.
There are two colourways:
Blue - In addition to different tints of cobalt blue, there's sky blue, pale aqua, orange, muted yellow, purples, pale tan, black and white. Note that the red in some images is brighter than it actually is. The red is darker as its punctuated by rusty red 'tiles'.
Green - There is a range of greens from a deep forest to a pale lime, which look beautiful against the bright pink and a more plummy pink, dark red, apricot and orange, muted yellows, black and white.

Why Linen Silk?
This stunning cloth combines all the wonderful features of both linen and silk fibres: excellent breathability; beautiful drape; and cool and smooth against the skin. The amalgam looks and feels more luxurious than linen and opens opportunities for making garments for special events. Don’t keep it just for best though 😉. This is wonderful for wearing every day.
Enjoy using Cloth Edit’s Linen Silk for floaty dresses, blouses, skirts, and wide leg trousers. Really, it’s perfect for all manner of dresses, tops, bottoms and loungewear. It drapes in soft folds on and away from the body. If lined, more fitted silhouettes are on the table.
The cloth is also great for layering in cooler months as it’s smooth and doesn’t have a lot of ‘friction’ like a range of cottons and linens. The cloth has very good colourfastness and it’s easy to iron.
Cloth Care
- It’s washable by hand but I always use a delicate, cool, machine wash cycle (my tip - don’t overload the detergent and softeners)
- Medium Iron (spot test)
- Steam ironing is perfect
- Don’t use a dryer. It is a garment destroyer and will shorten the life of your garment. It is a quick drying cloth, so just hang your garment on a hanger to dry.
