'Into The Fray' Jacquard Denim
If the precise colour, weight and feel of the fabric is important for your decision, the best option to eliminate disappointment is to use the Swatch Service. See under the 'About' tab and 'Cloth' tab for more details.
'Into The Fray' Jacquard Denim
- 80% Cotton 20% Poly
- 320gsm
- 170cm wide
- Oeko-Tex Standard 100
Well, I think you're going to love this! The jacquard has a 'cut' look, rather like a corduroy, and these cut edges are embellished with pale coral and green threads. The contrasting colours traverse the whole width of the fabric, at short, regular intervals, and when the stitches approach the 'cut' stripes, they show. It's a genius design.
It's a 320gsm denim but it's not stiff at all. In fact, it's quite drapey (for this weight). Your jackets will feel soft and your trousers will have gorgeous drape. The stripes go up the grain, so some striking strides would look amazing. It would suit shacket-style outerwear, but you could also make a more substantial shirt to wear with jeans. If you love dungarees and pinafores, this cloth will be a very comfortable option.
The fibre content is 80% cotton and 20% poly, but I cannot 'feel' the poly. The addition of the poly fibre is for stability during production, whilst keeping the weave fine. Consider jacket (from a blazer to a shacket), long wrap coat, skirt, pants, pinafore, overalls etc. Team with classic white or chambray, or bold plains. Jump into the Fray :-).
We stock so many Indie Pattern that would be perfect for this cloth:
