About Hathor
The I AM Patterns' Hathor is a timeless sleeveless vest with 18 versions to choose from. Combine one of the three neckline options, three pocket options, and two closure methods to make the perfect gilet to fit your needs. It's fully lined and fastens with either press studs or a zip. Choose a simple rounded neckline, a stand-up collar or a hood. It can be sewn with patch pockets, welt pockets or without pockets. Hathor is the perfect sleeveless jacket to slip under a coat in very cold weather, as a mid-season jacket, or as a casual throw-on for cool summer evenings. Depending on fabric used, Hathor can accompany you to town, on your rural walks, and keep you warm on your run. In short, it's perfect for all seasons, and fits into a long-lasting wardrobe.
In an effort to reduce paper usage some pattern pieces overlap with each other, so you will need to trace the pattern on paper or using Cloth Edit’s Vilene Light. It is fantastic for tracing patterns, and you can even sew it, which makes it great for fitting. (Note - the overlapping is neither extensive nor hard to discern).
The packaging for I AM Patterns is beautiful but tricky to get into without ripping the lovely gold card that backs the pattern. Our suggestion is to jiggle the pattern down as far as it goes, and neatly cut off the top of the pattern. You will need to snip off approximately 1.75cm, but take care to steer clear of the pattern itself.
