The weather may be still warm, but this beautiful print will be perfect across the seasons. 'Dance of the Tulips' features a carpet of blooms, with pointed, elongated petals and a tangle of slender foliage. There is a general direction to the print, although some blooms nod towards the selvage. There are two colourways, and both feature beautiful, more muted colour palettes.
The Natural Colourway: You'll love the variations of dark and pale dusky pink. These hues are melded with a variety of taupes, and you'll also spot moments of rusty red, coral red, forest green and grey blue. The colours rest perfectly on the natural background.
The Navy Colourway: You'll probably be convinced the background is black, but the supplier assures me it's navy. It's the darkest navy I've seen though ;-). So, if you're normally a fan of black background prints, this will still work for you. The colours of the tulips are a bit darker in this colourway. The slightly livelier pink sits beautifully alongside the greys, reds and yellows. The foliage is a mix of grey greens and a pale fresh green, as well as moment of deep purple.
This is the same fabric as several other recent print releases. It’s a 70% Viscose and 30% Linen blend. The weave is on the finer side with a little texture from the linen, and you can see this in some of the close-up images. The drape is akin to a light-medium weight, drapey linen. This is wonderful for all manner of garments: blouses, shirts, dresses, skirts, pants and shorts.
