Fabric Godmother's latest collection, Dolce Vita, celebrates the vibrant spirit of Italian culture through food-inspired prints. This collection features a range of fabrics adorned with playful motifs such as pasta, fruit and gelato.

I get the feeling that the 'Meze' print is the centrepiece of Fabric Godmother's new Dolce Vita Collection:-).  It's the epitome of the Italian culture of cuisine with its playful depictions of fish, eggplant, capsicum (or chillis), garlic, basil, tomatoes, lemons, strawberries, and bows of tagliatelle and farfalle pasta.  You will also see hearts, blue and yellow 'suns', a shopping list of Italian essentials, and red and blue dice!  Perhaps the latter represents the luck of being born Italian, or the great fortune of visiting Italy, or even the chance to experience the cuisine anywhere in the world.  Of course, you can also wear a beautiful garment is this stunning print that captures the spirit of Dolce Vita!

The colour palette is blue, green and yellow, all on an ivory background. This cloth is FG's renowned linen viscose blend.  It has plenty of drape and is lovely and soft.  

• This fabric is woven from a natural linen flax which causes visible slubs during the printing process. This texture is part of the natural charm of the fabric and not a flaw.
• The cloth is not that see-through, so you won't need to line it.  It's ideal for blouses, dresses, trousers and skirts.

Washing Instructions:

Machine washable at 30 degrees, cool iron and hang out to dry straight after washing, please note when you wash viscose it can become stiffer when wet but the softness and drape will return as it dries.  

To ensure the long life of a garment, don’t tumble dry as this breaks down the fibres. It is preferable to wash inside out. Wash colours separately. Dry in shade and inside out.  Use a warm/hot iron and spot test.
