About the Belle Epine Top
Belle Épine is a camisole style top with bohemian charm due to its lovely details. The dart feature at the front is such a point of difference from other cami tops. The V neckline at the front and back is so flattering, and the darts that radiate across the upper chest area is such a beautiful detail. The shape of the upper bodice and the size of the ties make this 'bra friendly'. While you can opt for a straight style, you can also choose the ruffle around the bottom of your top. As this pattern is fully lined, it gives you the option of using your pretty transparent or Broderie Anglais fabrics. The top underneath is constructed with classic bust darts. An unlined version is also possible. This is the perfect top for hot summer days.
There are options:
- with or without the ruffle
- with or without lining
The Fabric
Select lightweight fabrics (80 to 200 g/m2) with varying degrees of hold depending on the desired effect on the ruffles. Your fabric must be ironable and not lose its shape too much: viscose, tencel, cotton, crepe, poplin, satin, or twill. Openwork fabrics like lace are also interesting because the pattern includes a lining.
