About the Scala Shirt
J'adore Scala! This timeless shirt draws inspiration from Italian designs. It features a large, (optional) pointed collar, gorgeous front pleats which are topstitched, a box pleat at the back, and a slightly dropped shoulder. The pleats are bigger than MF usually feature, and they're stunning. With the collar or not, you'll be making this classic more than once.
- Technical aspects include stitching pleats, sewing a shirt collar, creating a clean burrito-style yoke, preparing a two-piece sleeve with a slit at the sleeve hem, and attaching a cuff.
The Fabric
Select fabrics between 70 and 200g/m²: Poplin, crepe, voile, lace, lightweight denim, chambray, cotton, viscose, linen, Tencel, or silk. Choose fabrics that press well to help form the pleats.
