I’ve been so excited about this one-of-a-kind cotton crochet ‘lace’.  I’m a little obsessed with black crochet (or heavier lace) dresses, and this is a stunning cloth.  It’s 90% cotton with just a little polyester to keep the shape.  This has a great, substantial weight at 292gsm, and the edging along the selvages provides opportunities for creative bodices, hemlines and sleeves.  The design includes diamond shapes with a circular motif, and they are interlaced with a more delicate pattern. 

There are so many possibilities: use the black crochet for sleeves, on an otherwise plain or print dress or jacket; include as a yoke at the back of a top; create the ultimate black dress for a special event; or create a stunning skirt or jacket.  Embrace the 'see through' effect or perhaps choose a skin toned rather than a black lining.  Of course, a close-fitting black slip underneath a dress would also look amazing.
