Fabric Godmother - 'Aurora' Viscose ECOVERA Satin

Fabric Godmother - 'Aurora' Viscose ECOVERA Satin
- 50% viscose and 50% Ecovero Viscose
- 170 gsm (a luxurious medium weight, opaque satin viscose)
- 145cm Wide

Meet Aurora; a stunning, classic red and green rose print on a dramatic black background. All the roses have variegations of red, and some blooms are more orange | red, whilst others include pinky tones. There is a general direction to the print, but there is enough of the design going in the other direction (foliage and some blooms) that it wouldn’t look out of place if you needed to do some more economical cutting out (eg. sleeves and the back bodice). The foliage is also variegated, and featured muted sage green tones, alongside brighter moments of a more acid green. The design is stunning, and reminiscent of some of some recent designer prints.
Note – the Fabric Godmother ‘flat’ images show a brighter green, but I think my draped images might highlight the green a little better.
The cloth is the renowned Fabric Godmother ECOVERO™ viscose satin. This has a beautiful, fluid drape, falling in soft folds. It has a gorgeous high shine, making it ideal for bias cut sewing and perfect for dresses, blouses, skirts and loose trousers.
Viscose is a fibre that is derived from wood pulp, making it a natural fabric that is more breathable than cotton. It is also known as Rayon.

Washing Instructions:
Viscose is a fibre that is derived from wood pulp, making it a natural fabric that is more breathable than cotton. It is also known as Rayon.
Please allow 5% shrinkage for this fabric as viscose has a tendency to shrink in the first wash.
Machine washable at 30 degrees, cool iron and hang out to dry straight after washing, please note when you wash viscose it can become stiffer when wet but the softness and drape will return as it dries. Dry in shade and inside out.
