Designs that play with lines might seem simple, but there is so much more to this artistic endeavour.   I've been reading about this style, and it often commences with a grid, but this is then deconstructed by melding lines and colours.  The trick is to know when to stop and achieving 'Compositional Balance'.  While the design is linear there is something 'of nature' in this print.  There's a blur of black, lavender, pale green, pale blue, olive, tan and chartreuse.  It sits on a natural background but very little of this shows through.     

This is the same fabric as several other recent print releases.  It’s a 70% Viscose and 30% Linen blend. The weave is on the finer side with a little texture from the linen, and you can see this in some of the close-up images. The drape is akin to a light-medium weight, drapey linen. This is wonderful for all manner of garments: blouses, shirts, dresses, skirts, pants and shorts.
