Fabric Godmother - Farfalle Gingham - Cotton Poplin

Fabric Godmother's latest collection, Dolce Vita, celebrates the vibrant spirit of Italian culture through food-inspired prints. This collection features a range of fabrics adorned with playful motifs such as pasta, fruit and gelato.

I've been looking at this print for a while, and I finally succumbed to the frivolity.  It is even better than I thought.  The poplin is a beautiful quality, and the design is a very cool (and unexpected) take on a gingham.  The 'gingham' is created with tomato red painterly style lines on a white background, and the creamy Farfalle and Spaghetti bows are a gorgeous decoration.  The cloth is a slightly crisp poplin, so it's perfect for all sorts of garments, like dresses, shirts, skirts and more.

Washing Instructions:

Washing instructions: machine washable at 30° on a delicate program, iron on a low setting and at the inside, no tumble dry. Always pre-wash, this fabric has a shrink percentage of 3%.

General Instructions

While cotton can generally be machine washed and tumble dried without any problem, this is a lightweight and delicate fabric, so take more care of the cloth/garment, so hand wash or and use a short / delicate cycle. Wash colours separately. The finished garment will last longer and look better if it is shaken out when wet and placed on a hanger to dry. Tumble drying will shorten the life of the garment and potentially damage the double gauze Do Not Tumble Dry. To prevent fading, wash inside out and dry in the shade. Cotton needs a warm to hot iron. Conduct a spot test. Cotton is dry cleanable.
