While the latest Fibre Mood is a Winter edition for the Northern hemisphere, those of us in the Antipodes will be able to plan some cool weather makes and also enjoy the patterns that are perfect all-year-long. I know it's a 'basic' but I'm very keen to make the maxi straight skirt, 'Maribel'. What you need with a classic skirt is an assortment of blouses, and the statement 'Electra' with its big bow at the collar, 'Lilith' with its asymmetrical origami-ish feature, 'Tirza' with its centre-front line of bows, and 'Ursula' with its dramatic sleeve, all have you covered for a myriad of outings. For those who love trousers, you'll love the 'Lux' pattern with their cool belt loop feature and pin tuck option.
The latest issue includes a great array of garments for chilly days: the chic 'Anica' jacket, perfect for quilted fabrics (but also works for other fabrics), the asymmetrical 'Dila' coat, the 'Griselda' pull-over, and the 'Zehra' vest. In addition to the blouses you could lengthen into dresses, there are also two dresses: the 'Onyx' and the wrap style 'Wisteria'. Enjoy!
Fibre Mood Magazines are an inspiring assembly of modern sewing patterns, and fashion forward inspiration. The designs contain unique design features, and the stunning photography provides inspiration for your makes.
The first part of the magazine features line drawings of the sewing patterns, alongside the beautifully captured versions of the garments. At the back of the magazine is the 'Checklist', which contains measurement charts, notions, fabric suggestions, a guide to using the sewing patterns, and step-by-step sewing instructions. Fibre Mood also have a number of tutorials in their website. The patterns are contained in a middle section of the magazine which you can detach, for easy tracing.
Cloth Edit is a proud Fibre Mood stockist.
