I AM Patterns - Gold Jacket | Coat (New Packaging)
About Gold
Most paper I AM patterns are size 36-46. They offer a larger size range in PDF.
Gold is a technical and creative, reimagined denim jacket. It stays true to the heritage of denim while offering 18 modern and bold variations.
It comes in three lengths: classic (hip), short (low hip), and long (below the knees), and features all the iconic elements of a denim jacket:
-
a straight cut with slightly dropped shoulders
-
a shirt collar
-
front and back paneling
-
two flap chest pockets and two welt pockets
-
adjustable tabs at the waist
-
contrast topstitching
-
classic button closure
-
sleeves with an elbow seam ending in an open cuff with a slit
The pattern is versatile and can also transform into a work jacket, with straight patch pockets at the front, the hem finished with a simple edge, and the simpler sleeves finished with a hem. All these versions can be sewn without sleeves or collars, for complete styling freedom.
In an effort to reduce paper usage some pattern pieces overlap with each other, so you will need to trace the pattern on paper or use Cloth Edit’s Vilene Light. It is fantastic for tracing patterns, and you can even sew it, which makes it great for fitting. (Note - the overlapping is neither extensive nor hard to discern).
This pattern is in the NEW packaging which is a white envelope style that's easy to open.
