'Aphrodite's Rose' - AW23
"Taking influence from Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, this design focuses on her symbol of the rose – legend has it that when the goddess was born from the sea, roses sprung from the sand as she stepped ashore. The pattern was created using photography and digital manipulation, to give the illusion of roses submerged underwater. The flowers appear distorted and abstracted, in an original and highly contemporary take on a classic rose print. Aphrodite’s Rose is part of the Oceans story of our Autumn/Winter 2023 collection – featuring designs that draw us deep down into a glittering underwater kingdom of wine-dark waters inhabited by powerful mythological beings".
For Autumn/Winter 2023, A Liberty Odyssey takes us on an adventure inspired by early storytelling – a dazzling contemporary voyage through the world of ancient myths. For this collection, the Liberty Fabrics designers drew upon the potent iconography and enduring cultural significance of millennia-old narratives of gods and goddesses, with four stories of ‘Classical’, ‘Universe’, ‘Earth’, and ‘Oceans’. A sweeping tour across sea, land, and heavens, shot through with captivating mythic imagery and symbolism to ignite the imagination.

Tana Lawn is printed in Liberty Fabrics’ very own Printing Mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in northern Italy, using specially selected ultra-fine, long staple Egyptian cotton.
Tana Lawn has unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy. The cloth is machine washable and durable enough for daily wear. Create versatile, everyday simple separates, or spectacular statement garments.
