About the Cuba Dress (2 variations)

The panel construction of the skirt provides a perfect fit without excess bulk, and the elasticated back saves you from sewing a side zip ;-).  Easy to sew and divine to wear, the Cuba Libre dress comes in an open-back version for wild evenings or closed-back to be the most elegant barefoot at the water's edge. With its cute butterfly sleeves, V-neckline and beautiful long skirt, it's irresistible, right?!

The Fabric

Select woven fabrics with soft fall which drape nicely, for example, a twill, a crepe or a viscose poplin, a fine jacquard, or a beautiful lace.  Select fabrics 90 to 250gsm depending on the desired look.

If you want to line your dress, we recommend cotton voile.

34-36 : 230 cm
38-42 : 250 cm
44-48 : 280 cm
50-52 : 300 cm

Lined version: 140 cm wide lining for the skirt and front bust (as is the case for the dress presented in Berlingot striped fabric)

44-48 : 240 cm

About the Cuba Libre dress in bohemian lace

For this version of the dress, the amount of fabric is different because the shell lace has unique qualities. The positioning will be done with the fabric at the fold, on a height of 1m40 and the quantities of fabric are: 2m 80 in 34-36, 3m in 38-44 and 3m30 in 46-52. The dress is well lined on the skirt and the bust in front, following the information mentioned in the brochure (assembly range and quantity of fabric for the lining, everything is explained). The lining has been cut from our cotton voile.

The Notions

• 40 cm iron-on G710 interfacing
• A 2 cm wide elastic band (amount of elastic indicated in the finished garment measurement table also visible in image 4 of the product sheet, depending on your grading size)

Sizing

The pattern size range is 34 to 52 (European), which covers a bust  measurement range from: 80 to 122 cm
