Maison Fauve have been dreaming of a stylish and versatile overshirt, and they are proud to introduce Ex Libris. It is THE overshirt you didn't know you needed. It's comfortable, beautifully cut, and finished with those distinctive design details that make it unmistakably Maison Fauve. Its softly rounded, 70s-inspired pockets, are echoed in the curved hemline. This shacket feels both relaxed yet very well considered. It works with so many different fabrics which can transform the look.
The main technical points are attaching the collar, constructing the pockets, achieving precise topstitching, sewing a two-piece sleeve and attaching the cuff.
The Fabric
Select only medium-weight fabrics between 200 and 350 g/m², depending on the look you want to achieve – from a soft, relaxed overshirt to a more structured transitional jacket. Suitable fabrics include dupion, heavier flannel, jacquard, gabardine, denim and faux suede. This garment is designed to be unlined.
