About the Cursive Top

The Cursive is a feminine and comfortable knit wrap top that pairs perfectly with your favourite jeans, pants and skirts.  It's also a brilliant layering piece to wear over dresses! Maison Fauve don't have many knit patterns in their collection, so it’s an exciting new addition.  The front bodice rises softly around the neck.  The design follows the wearer's curves, and the long tie belt defines the waist.  Cursive is easy to sew and beautifully cut.  

The Fabric

Choose a stretch knit fabric such as rib knit, cotton or viscose jersey, cut-and-sew knit or stretch Milano knit. Knit fabrics can be sewn using either a regular sewing machine or an overlocker. If using a sewing machine, choose a ballpoint or jersey needle, which will pass between the fibres without damaging the fabric, and select a stretch stitch suitable for knit fabrics. If using an overlocker, adjust the differential feed as needed to ensure the seams retain their stretch without distorting the fabric. For the hems, we recommend using a stretch twin needle (also known as a double needle).

UK 6–10 (FR 34–38): 130 cm
UK 12–16 (FR 40–44): 150 cm
UK 18–20 (FR 46–48): 170 cm
UK 22–24 (FR 50–52): 185 cm
