About the Edie  

The balloon sleeves of this simple top are the only detail that it requires to stand out. Less is more. The dropped shouldered, full sleeves are gathered with a tie which is threaded through a buttonhole.  Alternatively you can omit this buttonhole and insert elastic instead. The Edie could also be extended into a dress.   Consider slightly shorter sleeves for a dress version. Depending on the length you require we’d suggest adding about 60cm.

The Fabric

For your Edie select lighter weight woven fabrics, linen and linen blends, poplin, hemp and hemp blends, cotton chambray, Indian handweaves and block prints, tencel and tencel blends. The more structured the fabric the more sculptural your top will look. 

Sizing

This is a multi-size pattern including sizes UK 6 – 18.  This covers a bust measurement range of 78cm-106cm.  All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.
