Now and Then Patterns - All Seasons Dress and Skirt
Now and Then - All Seasons Dress and Skirt
Now and Then Patterns are inspired by vintage, classic patterns. They are designed and made in the United Kingdom by Til the Sun Goes Down.
The All Seasons Dress & skirt design has been influenced by the styles of the 1930's with perhaps a 'nod' to the early 40's depending on your fabric choices. Make the sleeveless version for the summer, the long sleeved one for the cooler months, and the skirt for all seasons. Features include 2 inverted skirt pleats both front & back, triangular button closures on the cuffs, and a button side placket.
Size 8-24
Fabric
Consider most medium weight woven fabrics. Avoid obvious stripes, sheers or heavy fabrics (for the dress). The skirt may be made in heavier fabrics such as tweed, denim, velvet etc.
Notions
- interfacing for button band and side placket
- 3 medium size buttons for the front bodice, plus 2 for the long sleeve cuffs, and 6 smaller ones for the side closure (or press studs).
- For the skirt, 4 buttons
- Stiffening for self-made belt and buckle.
Sizing
This pattern includes sizes 8 - 24, which covers a bust of 84cm-125cm.
