About the Yze Dress and Blouse

The Yze has a flared shape with a round front neck and various back necklines, ranging from the most modest to the most glamourous.  There are also sleeve variations:  pleated short sleeves or longer darted sleeves.  In short Yzé is a nice little blouse or a cute feminine dress that can be elegant or rather casual, depending on the choice of fabric.  And to top it all, it’s a pattern that is extremely quick and easy to sew, without any technical difficulties, even if you choose to sew the fully-lined version.


The paper pattern includes:

- the booklet in English, stating the difficulty level, the cutting layout, the step-by-step sewing instructions, along with size chart and fabric and notion requirements,

- one easy-to-read multi-size pattern sheet, with no overlapping pieces.

The Patterns are presented in a large, 'string and washer' style envelope with a clear front window, and there is room to pop in your traced pattern also.

The Fabric 

For your Yze, select lightweight cotton, viscose, crepe, silk, cotton sateen, Tencel, any flowy fabric for blouse and dress with a nice drape.

Suggested fabrics for the lining (if lined skirt): lightweight cotton, viscose, any fabric that can be used to line garments.

The Notions

• If sewing the ¾ or long sleeves: add a 50 x 30 cm (⅝ x ⅜ yd) piece if netting, organdy or organza. Choose fabric that is rather stiff and not scratchy.
• Optional notions: 8 cm (1¼’’) of 10 mm (⅜’’)-ribbon and two 9 mm (⅜’’)-sew-snaps to make bra strap holders.

Sizing

The size range for this pattern is 32-54, which covers bust measurements from 31 1/2 Inches - 48 Inches.
